Calm Surrounds the Lost Island


Constant sea wind weakened.
The rumbling of the waves became quiet.
Morning light begins to illuminate the surface of the sea.
The island sinks into the depths of silence, surrounded by a hunch of calm.

Once upon a time,
the island was in a state of heightened excitement as the day began at this hour.
In the guardhouses built on the island, people were busy preparing for fishing.
Even the horses’ eyes sparkled with quiet excitement.

But time passed, and the people left the island.
The guardhouses have been cleared away, and the morning bustle has disappeared.
The island is now slumbering in a long, long calm.

This silence may continue. Yururi, an island of eternal calm.
Only the horses reflecting the colors of the morning glow in their eyes,
breathe the air of an island forgotten by wind and waves.
