Yururi Island

The Legend in the Fog

Fog Landing on the Lost Island

On a summer morning, fog falls over the northern island.
There is no sound. The fog makes no sound.
Neither the echo of the rain beating on the grass, nor the tremble of the wind shaking the flowers.
Fog absorbs it all and envelops the island in silence.

It also has no form. Fog has no eyes.
Behind a screen of drifting water,
everything living on the island fades into a vague outline.
It’s like a dream you can’t remember when you saw it.

A world without sound or form.
In this world, a shadow emerges. Horses. A herd of horses.
Following the lines of memory carved into the island, the horses are approaching.

No, maybe it is just another summer illusion brought on by the dense fog.
There is no way to be sure. The name of this island is Yururi.
An island which no one can reach. An island in a dream I once had.
